If you have a school-aged child with a creative flair or interest in coding, then Digitize Tech Jams are for them! Launching on the 28th of June, we’re delivering fun and engaging digital workshops from our community digital hub in Alloa, Co.Lab.
Space VR
Ready for an intergalactic adventure?
Does space interest you? Well it sure interests us! Join us as we travel through space visiting different planets and moons to see what it’s like on the surface. We’ll learn about the different gravity on each planet and how that compares to our own gravity on Earth. We’ll talk about the technology that allows us to travel to space and the future of space travel. Who knows… we might even get to find out if there’s life on other planets!

Could you start-up your own online business?
Working in a team, do you think your child would be able to impress the judges with their unique branding and product-creating skills? They’ll practice how to pitch ideas to investors and design a fantastic product!Â
In this fun and unique session, your child will learn valuable skills to carry into later life, but the big challenge is proper in front of them as, at the end of the day, they’ll present to 4 judges and convince them to invest in their idea. And, we’ll give them all the skills they’ll need to do it.Â
Minecraft Mondays
Learning focused Minecraft with build challenges for creative crafting
Are your youngsters interested in Minecraft? If so, I’m sure they’d love our interactive Minecraft sessions. Working with a Minecraft master we’ll explore the new ways to build a new, or better, world. This is for anyone who already plays Minecraft, or who would like to explore it with others. Minecraft allows for creativity and problem solving and is a great educational tool.Â
Drone School
Could you become a qualified drone pilot?
Get hands-on with a drone in our drone flying experience sessions. In this extended session, your child will learn the basics of flying a fully functional drone with a camera. We will cover how to take off on different surfaces and manoeuvre through various obstacles. You will learn how to fly the drone in sports, cinematic and normal modes. You will know the range of possibilities linked with flying a drone effectively to capture the best possible image or video. To top it all off, you will walk away with your very own certificate in drone flying!
