The Future Is Now, phrase in wooden alphabet letters on colourful background

A Week’s Progress

Another week, another blog and boy, do we have some news on the digital front! A new massive project is underway! Yes, you heard that right, our digital team is working away as hard as they can to come up with a new source to help us reach our goals to ready students and teachers for the new digital world.

Did you know that in the next twenty years, most jobs will be taken over by robots, AIs and different digital platforms? It’s crazy to think that we’ve come so far but there is certainly no stopping the evolution of technology.

I remember back in the 90s and the early 2000s that I thought my tamagotchi was the height of sophistication, and maybe it was back then? But twenty years later, I am using my chromebook by touching the screen and seeing anyone I want in the world with a click of the button. It’s crazy to think that these things were once seen as something in a sci-fi movie, and now they are a reality. If you’d told me that you could check what your friends are up to and how many calories you’d lost whilst checking your online shopping cart on your watch, I’d laugh, but look at us now.

Since the 90s, technology has boomed, from tapes and videos to online streaming, it’s madness. Just think of where it will take us in another twenty years?

Many people are scared of technology, and I agree that the fast pace is daunting, it’s too much too fast and we may end up burning out. There are many pros and cons to the advancement of technology – but you cannot hide from it, as it makes things more efficient, and takes more stress away from us. With the digital revolution, we have been using less paper, killing less trees. But we have become more introverted in the process!

That’s why we at Co.lab encourage working with people and technology, because people are amazing machines in themselves! They can learn to use technology to their full potential, making beautiful advancements in this world. That’s really what it’s all about!

How can we help you become the best you can be? We can encourage, teach and motivate you to find out what jobs are out there, what technological skills you have and how amazing you can be to the growth of the world.

Sometimes the best things come out of the minds of the young generation, okay, most of the time.
